A short bio…

Hi. My name is Dave Keep. And, since this spot exists, in part, in order for you to get to know me better, here is some information to get you started.

Since 1995 I have been the lucky husband of a beautiful woman, my best friend, Julia. Our marriage has been enriched by the births of 7 children–ages 10 weeks to 11 years. If you read here often, you’ll see many of my life lessons come from being husband and father.

In August of ‘07 my family and I moved from Roanoke, VA to Nampa, ID where I have assumed the role of Senior Pastor at Grace Bible Church. We have discovered that following God is the greatest adventure, and it is with great excitement we face the opportunities and challenges ahead.

For more information about our church, check out our web site, www.nampagrace.com.

My kids are Katie (age 11), David Jr.(10), William (7), Annie (5), Taylor (3), Ellie (1) and Isaiah (10 weeks). They fill our home with joy, fear, frustration, angst, courage and inspiration. They are the greatest gift, a treasure nothing could replace. (Though we don’t want more) Julia and I thank God for each of them.

Julia turns 30 this year (February 1, 2008). Wow! I honestly cannot imagine life without her. She is my companion on this life-journey. I get a thrill when I think of having the privilege of spending the rest of my days by her side. When the kids have grown and gone, she and I will grow old together. Thank You, Father, for the blessing of a spiritual soul-mate. I’m a lucky man!

I’m finishing up the final classes for my Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. So, from time to time I will share thoughts regarding the things I’m learning.

Thanks for reading, I value the time you give to read my daily musings. I hope you’ll check back often, and respond when you can. I want us to get to know each other better.

  1. Welcome to Idaho.

I look forward to growing in Christ through your ministry. I feel I have been a Christian all my life but only saved 9 years ago and am still walking on toddler’s feet.

We are so blessed to have you and your family here in Idaho.

  2. Nice!

  3. Hey Dave, Just reading in on the life of the Keep family adventures. I need you to email me your new personal email address so I can start communicating with you. Tickets for the trip are at a standstill- Crissy has to have some medical testing done. Her thyroid and or heartbeat is abnormal. Just had to be picked up at school yesterday, she was about to pass out.
