Saturday afternoon at camp a great group gathered at Payette Lake in McCall for a baptismal. It was a great scene. The intersection of two worlds. On the one hand there were fourth-of-July-weekend-party’ers. On the other, a band of Christ-followers taking their stand and staking their claim for Jesus.
Granted, some of the party’ers were likely Christians, but the distinction was still a very real one. And while I enjoy boating, skiing and fishing as much as anyone, it was a delight to be a party to those confessing Christ for eternity.
