One afternoon of camp (last week), the youth took a hike to Boulder Lake, just outside of McCall, Idaho. It was supposedly a two-mile trail that topped out with one of the most picturesque views you’ll ever see. The photo above is just the beginning. The photo below is at the top!
Lee Simmons and I “enjoyed” the hike together. Actually, there was a great deal of beauty to be seen, and the conversation with Lee was rewarding. Annie (6 yrs. old) was along and made it most of the way herself. Near the top however I had to carry her. And of course, the whole way down she needed a ride. I wasn’t ready to do it again the next day, but by now I’m game!
