It’s very early Sunday morning, August 5th. My family and I are at the end of a two-week vacation starting in Roanoke, VA and ending in Nampa, ID. The places we have been are wonderful. The country we have seen has been grand. The journey we have shared has been both joyful and memorable! Our family is richer and closer as a result of the experience.
But this two-week journey ends to the beginning of a new, and in many ways, more exciting one. Today we conclude our vacation in a new home town, and today we meet you, our new church family! Today we begin a new and different journey together to love and learn and worship and grow. We will cry and laugh together. We will experience the joy of success and the challenges of growth. We will witness new birth physically and spiritually. We will work together and, with the help and blessing of God, we will build a church that wins lost people, builds them up in their faith and sends them out to work for Jesus.
We are thrilled to be in Nampa. This is home! Thanks for the chance to live among you, to work alongside you. It is with great anticipation that we face all that lies ahead!
Blessings,
Pastor Dave
